Final examination of MBA curriculum

Final examination module of MBA studies consists of four Graduation Capstone courses.

Graduation Capstones are on the core courses of the MBA programme:

  • Corporate Finance
  • Financial and Managerial Accounting
  • Strategic Management and Innovation
  • Managing People and Organisations
  • Leadership and Ethics
  • Marketing and Sales
  • Managerial Economics
  • Emerging Technologies for Business
  • Operations and Project Management

Graduation Capstone I: Coaching

  • When: Will take place in BootCamp (August).
  • What: Individually, you will learn how to use an effective four stage coaching model and how to find personalised approach to others.

Graduation Capstone II: Management Game Dynama

  • When: Will take part in the second half of the spring semester (March-June).
  • What: As a team, you will take part in a simulation game in which you can test all your knowledge and skills obtained during the MBA programme.

Graduation Capstone III: Theoretical Quiz on Core Studies

  • When: At the end of the spring semester (May/June).
  • What: Individually, you will answer multiple choice and open-ended questions about all the core courses of your studies. There will be an information session about this capstone in the beginning of semester. The exam will be open book but due to the time limits the materials must be well-prepared before. Students do not have time to search for the material.

The quiz is comprised of two parts:

a) Multiple choice quiz  (50 questions, 1p each, 60 minutes)

b) Open-ended questions (5 cases, 10p each 60 minutes)

Graduation Capstone IV: Case Study Exam

  • When: At the end of the spring semester (May/June).
  • What: Individually, you will solve a case study of your choice within one thematic cluster (e.g., Finance, Management, etc.). There will be an information session about this capstone in the beginning of semester.

Graduation Capstone V: Mentoring Practice (since 2022)

  • When: At the end of the spring semester (May/June).
  • What: Individually, you will have an opportunity to develop yourself as mentor, you will mentor 2-3 bachelor’s students who are preparing for their internship

Keep in mind the Academic Fraud chapter from the Academic Regulations when using materials during the exam – plagiarism as well as self-plagiarism is forbidden. If you are using materials then do not forget to add references!

In order to take part in the Graduation Capstones the students have to enroll to the capstone courses on the given semesters in myEBS. The add/drop periods of removing these final exam module courses are listed HERE.
